Community Resources for the Town of Paradise: Residents Helping Residents

The Paradise community has always been one that shows up for each other. This is evidenced in countless ways, but especially in the many community resources for Town of Paradise residents.

If you’re in need of assistance or know someone who is, please pass along this article!

Town of Paradise Community Resources

A Simple Gesture

A Simple Gesture’s goal is to make food collection, simple.

The process is seamless: Paradise and Magalia residents sign up to receive a reusable “Green Bag” to fill with nonperishables. On a predesignated pickup date, volunteers collect the Green Bags from local’s doorsteps, and donate the items to local food pantries. Click here to sign up to fill a bag.

Moms Of The Ridge

Moms of the Ridge connects the Paradise community and creates enriching experiences for children and their families.

Moms of the Ridge just opened their very first space, where they’ll host workshops, support groups, and so many more fun and free events for moms and their kids. Along with their events, Moms of the Ridge also operates Birthday Box, a program that gives a “birthday in a box” to children in need. Read more about them here.

Magalia Community Church

The Magalia Community Church offers free food available for Magalia residents. Visit the MCC Facebook page or call them to find out more about their programs.

Hope Center

The Paradise Hope Center distributes basic necessities, like food and clothing, to residents of the Ridge. See their Facebook Page for hours and current updates.

First Baptist Church of Paradise

Paradise community members can visit the food pantry at the  First Baptist Church of Paradise on Fridays from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. They also distribute commodities to residents on the third Tuesday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

First Christian Church

First Christian Church serves Paradise locals with a walk-in food pantry Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

No matter your circumstances, the community of Paradise is here for you. Please reach out to one of the groups above if you (or someone you know) need their services.
