Long Term Recovery Plan

The Town of Paradise follows what is called the “Long-Term Recovery Plan” to guide the rebuilding and recovery process.

This plan is unique: all priorities and projects were developed by residents of the Town. Between November 2018 and 2019, a series of community-wide meetings were held regularly to present, determine, and discuss priorities for Paradise. Once finalized, the final plan was presented to the Town Council, who was asked to adopt the Long-Term Recovery Plan (“Community Vision”) at a Special Town Council Meeting Tuesday Night on June 25, 2019.

The Long-Term Recovery Plan is intended to guide Paradise through the next several years of regrowth, specifically meeting five goals in support of the community vision:
  1. Make Paradise Safer
  2. Make Paradise Welcoming
  3. Make Paradise Stronger
  4. Make Paradise Better
  5. Make Paradise Greener

These five goals will be supported by numerous Town and partner-led recovery projects.

In 2022, the Long Term Recovery Plan was updated to reflect new priorities and projects in the Town's recovery.

Implementing the Recovery Projects

All projects will go before the Town Council before commencement, some many times. All projects have different priorities, cost estimates, and proposed funding sources.

The Long Term Recovery Plan is being updated beginning in March 2022.
