Paradise Early Warning System Updates: Installation Begins Today!

Early Warning System Tower Locations

The Early Warning System, which consists of twenty-one siren towers located within the town limits, will be installed in phases starting today!

When will the towers be installed?

Beginning today, and through early April the towers will be installed in phases. The different phases will be concurrent as the towers go up.

Phase 1

  • Concrete Pad Installation

Phase 2

  • Pole Assembly- Speakers & Equipment Cabinet

Phase 3

  • Pole Installation & Tree Facades

Phase 4

  • System Configuration & Testing

How does the alarm system work?

The Town of Paradise will use the sirens in the event of an emergency, with an audible siren sound that will alert residents to the emergency.  Voice command technology will also be utilized through the system to give additional instructions.  The system will be tested regularly, and residents can expect to be notified ahead of time for testing events.

Check the Town of Paradise social media and website in an emergency for further directions.

Will there be any drills?

Yes! We’ve scheduled an Emergency Response Exercise on Thursday, June 15, 2023.

The EWS will be tested while first responders conduct drills for future emergencies.  There will be opportunities for the public to get involved with the drill as well. Check back for more information on our website.

Where can I get updates?
Head to the Town of Paradise website and social media accounts: Facebook, and Instagram.

You’ll find information about preparing for an active emergency, the Emergency Response Exercise on June 15, other Early Warning System drills, and more.

The Early Warning System is an important part of the Town’s rebuilding and another step forward in the Long Term Recovery Plan.
