Essential Rebuilding Resources Available for the Town of Paradise Community

If you’re ready to rebuild or are new to Paradise and building for the first time, you’ve come to the right place. The Town of Paradise provides many building resources to support your rebuilding/building journey and ensure a seamless process.

Town of Paradise Rebuilding Resources

1: Building Resiliency Center

The Building Resiliency Center or BRC (pronounced BRICK) is a central hub for all fire- related resources and for community members looking to rebuild.

Staff at the BRC can help you at any stage of your project, whether you’re just beginning, looking for permitting help, or have questions on septic.

You can visit the BRC at 6295 Skyway; walk-in appointments are welcome and, you can reach them by phone at (530) 872-6291 or email at rebuildquestions@townofparadise.com.

2: Rebuild Advocates

Rebuild Advocates within the BRC served as a vital liaison between the Town and the community, aiding with rebuilding.

During the building process, Rebuild Advocates can help with:

  • Navigating insurance, FEMA, or SBA
  • Understanding your financing options
  • Choosing a contractor
  • Submitting build plans

3: Housing Assistance

The Town of Paradise also offers housing assistance for residents. Housing assistance currently offered includes:

  • First Time Home Buyer Program
  • Owner- Occupied Housing Rehabilitation and Reconstruction

4: Make It Paradise

The Make It Paradise website hosts helpful reference documents.

  • The rebuilding guide includes step-by-step instructions for permits, a master plan checklist, and specifications for reconstruction depending on the property (for example, a stick-built home or commercial building).
  • You can also scroll through their document library, which has information on planning, onsite wastewater, grant information, and more.
