CURRENT STATISTICS:

6,234   properties cleared of debris
1,952   properties certified clean by County

NEWS THIS WEEK:

• Currently, 151 crews are working on debris removal.  Each crew makes between 10 and 20 trips per day hauling debris.  That equates to between 1,500 and 3,000 trips made in and out of Paradise by debris removal trucks for the state program every day!

• COMMUNITY REMINDER: The lighting of fireworks is illegal in Paradise. You can safely enjoy fireworks at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico and at Lake Oroville on the 4th of July. To view the entire press release -- CLICK HERE

On June 25th, the Town Council voted unanimously to adopt the Long-Term Community Recovery Plan.

The Town of Paradise owes a debt of gratitude to the Butte Strong Fund and Barry Long for helping us create a vision for the future. 

• The Home Builders Resource Expo Exhibitor was a huge success with an amazing turnout from the public!  There were 90+ vendors including informational booths from the Town of Paradise Building Department, Butte County, Cal OES, Paradise Irrigation District, building materials and techniques, manufactured homes, modular homes, stick built homes, and concrete, and financing. There were also classes and educational sessions available on subjects like how to choose a contractor, avoiding scams, financing help.

NEWS THIS WEEK:

• Currently, 142 crews are working on debris removal.

• 220 Paradise High School graduates returned to their campus on Thursday, June 6th to celebrate just seven months after the Camp Fire radically changed their senior year. The inspiring class promoted a message of unity and strength. Congratulations Paradise High Grads!

• PGE Outage: PG&E shut down power to parts of Paradise on Saturday, June 8th due to an extreme wind event. Please prepare your house for future shut downs going into the summer months. If you will be using a generator please remember to keep all flammable materials away from the unit.

• Meeting Recap: Town Council considered the building code changes at the June 11th Council meeting and directed staff to move forward on 9 of the 20 items presented.  A chart showing action taken on each item is attached to this sheet.

• What’s Next:  On June 25th, UDA will give their final presentation on the recovery vision, which will lead to the formal drafting of a recovery plan in the coming year.

• Party in the park is kicking off TONIGHT Wednesday, June 12th. This community event will continue on for many more years. Come out and enjoy the summer weather and good music.
