Residential Ignition Resistant Improvement Program

The Town of Paradise is excited to announce that after many years of advocacy and planning, we are launching our Residential Ignition Resistant Improvement Program.  This program helps with the cost of eligible improvements that will help make homes that survived the  Camp Fire in Paradise more resilient.  Applications will be accepted through July 30, 2023 or until the program is full. The program is limited to $90,000 in improvements per property. The property owner is responsible for 25% of the total cost of improvements. Find out more about the program and how to apply at

Lookout Trail RC Crawl

Hey crawlers and RC car enthusiasts-Join the excellent folks at AMAIN Hobbies at Bille Park for an epic trail crawl out to the Lookout Point May 20th. This free event is organized to continue bringing RC and Drone enthusiasts up to the Ridge to enjoy the RC specific amenities at Bille Park from 9:00am- 12:00pm.

Moms Of The Ridge Spring Fling Fundraising Event

May 20th is the 1st Annual Spring Fling Festival at the Terry Ashe Recreation Center from 10:00am-4:00pm. Free admission and plenty to do! An event you won’t want to miss!

Astronomy at The Lake

Grab your kayak and paddle out on this great experience exploring Paradise Lake on May 20th. A guided twilight & sky tour will be provided from 6:30-10:30pm. You can BYO kayak or rent one from PRPD. Make sure you register for the event and find out more information at

Burn Permits 

Effective Saturday April 1st, 2023, the Town of Paradise permitted burn start time changed from 8:45 am to 6:00 am. Residential and Fuel Reduction permits issued prior to April 1st, 2023, will not reflect the change in burn hours but permittees will be allowed to start burning at 6:00 am. Permits issued after April 1st, 2023, will have the updated burn hours on them. Burning needs to be completed and piles need to be completely extinguished by dusk.

Burn permits are required when burning in the Town of Paradise. Burn permits can be purchased online at or at the Building Resiliency Center, located at 6295 Skyway. All burning must be in accordance with requirements listed on burn permits. Before burning you are required to confirm burn day status with Butte County Air Quality Management District by calling (530) 332-9407 or Toll Free (855) 332-9407.


The Town of Paradise Commercial Sign Removal Program is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021. Grants will be awarded on a first come first serve basis, until all allocated funds have been expended. A total of $100,000 has been allocated for this program. After an application is approved, the Town will work with the business and licensed contractor to have the sign removed and will pay the contractor directly for the service. For more information and an application, visit
