WHAT’S NEW

Pentz Rd. Safe Routes to School Program Starts Wednesday May 19

Starting Wednesday, May 19, All American Asphalt of Live Oak, CA will begin work for the Pentz Road Safe Routes to School Project. This project includes the construction of a multi-use pathway along the west side of Pentz Road between Bille Road and Wagstaff Road. The Pentz Road project is being coordinated with undergrounding of utilities in the area in addition to improvements to the former Ponderosa Elementary School site – soon to be re-opened this fall as Paradise Ridge Elementary School. Other Town improvements will include the installation of underground storm drain pipes and a new center two-way left-turn lane in front of the school. This $1M grant-funded project will provide safe facilities for children walking and biking to school while meeting the vision of the Town’s Community Long-Term Recovery Plan by establishing interconnected pathways which can double as emergency ingress/egress during evacuation events.

Construction will continue through the summer with expected completion in August 2021.
