Trivia Night at Nic’s
Thursday June 22nd from 6-8:00pm is a family friendly free entry trivia night at Nic’s Deli and Wine Bar. Come early to secure your spot and enjoy food specials and happy hour all evening.
Car Wash
Hosted by the Paradise Eagles 2960 and the ECV PAR-0-DICE 7-11, Saturday June 24th from 11:00am- 3:00pm at 9079 Skyway will be $5.00 carwashes. The money raised will go to the Paradise Little League, and if you come hungry there will be hotdogs and chips for an additional $5.00!
Party at the Pool
PRPD is having an outdoor movie event showing Finding Dory Saturday June 24th. Gates will be opening at 7:45pm and the movie will start at 9:00pm. You get the chance to enjoy a movie while floating in the pool at 5600 Recreation Drive. For more information about the event visit, paradiseprpd.com.
Fire- Adapted Community Study
San Jose State University researchers are seeking 50 Paradise participants to discuss their diverse experiences, innovations, and struggles with mitigating wildfire risks. CHIP- Single Family Rentals in Paradise
Limited number of 2- & 3-bedroom homes available for rent. CHIP’s Single Family Rental Program will process applications in accordance with funding regulations and requirements. Applications will be labeled with the date & time they are received and thereafter processed on a “first come, first served” basis. Application period is from June 20th– 30th, 2023. Early Warning Siren Update
The Early Warning Siren (EWS) construction is moving along! The required 16-foot holes have already been dug for 20 towers, with a rebar cage established within each of the above-mentioned holes. With good weather continuing, the project will be moving forward, and more towers will be included in the monthly testing.
Residential Ignition Resistant Improvement Program
The Town of Paradise is excited to announce that after many years of advocacy and planning, we are launching our Residential Ignition Resistant Improvement Program. This program helps with the cost of eligible improvements that will help make homes that survived the Camp Fire in Paradise more resilient. Applications will be accepted through July 31, 2023 or until the program is full. The program is limited to $90,000 in improvements per property. The property owner is responsible for 25% of the total cost of improvements. Find out more about the program and how to apply at townofparadise.com.
COMMERCIAL SIGN REMOVAL PROGRAM
The Town of Paradise Commercial Sign Removal Program is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021. Grants will be awarded on a first come first serve basis, until all allocated funds have been expended. A total of $100,000 has been allocated for this program. After an application is approved, the Town will work with the business and licensed contractor to have the sign removed and will pay the contractor directly for the service. The Town has created a google map with ongoing traffic control in Paradise and another map for road repaving.
