The Town of Paradise Received the 2022 Helen Putman Award

Last week, the League of California Cities announced that the Town of Paradise received the esteemed 2022 Helen Putnam Award for Excellence in Planning and Environmental Quality for the Long Term Community Recovery Plan. This plan identified 39 recovery projects, which guide Paradise and its recovery partners as they navigate recovery three years after the most destructive fire in California history, the 2018 Camp Fire. Temporary Speed Limit Reduction on Skyway, Sept-Oct 2022

On Tuesday, September 13, temporary speed limits along Skyway between Neal Road and Lucky John Road took effect. The speed limit was reduced to 25 MPH to slow traffic during the heavy road construction of the Skyway Paving Project. The final roadway paving is scheduled to be complete in October 2022. 

Paradise Tree Removal Program – Sign Up Soon!

Applications are now open for Paradise property owners to enroll for assistance removing dead trees on private property. Applications are available on the Town’s website or in person at Paradise Town Hall at 5555 Skyway or the Building Resiliency Center at 6295 Skyway.

Theater on the Ridge Presents Dracula, September 8-25

Bring your family to see Dracula the musical by Bram Stoker, adapted by Amber Miller. This classic horror story will be performed at Theater on the Ridge from September 8-25. The showings are Thurs. to Sun. at 7:30 p.m. with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Visit the TOTR website for more information and ticket sales.

Hoedown at Veteran’s Hall,  September 30

Get your dance on at the Hoedown on September 30 from 5-10 p.m. This event at Veteran’s Memorial Hall will include E&J’s Food Truck, adult beverages from Jen’s Place, and live music by Soul Posse. Johnny Appleseed Days 2022, October 1 & 2

Come celebrate community and heritage at Paradise’s annual Johnny Appleseed Days. This fun-for-the-family event will include handicrafts made by artisans from all over the state, face painting, games, a visit from Johnny Appleseed, and so much more! Taking place at the Terry Ashe park, Johnny Appleseed Days will be held on Saturday, October 1 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, October 2 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Contact monica@paradisechamber.com or click here for more information.

Paradise Performing Arts Center Ribbon Cutting, October 6

You are invited to celebrate the newly renovated Paradise Performing Arts Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, and live music. Join the celebration on Thursday, October 6 from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Paradise Performing Arts Center, located at 777 Nunneley Road, Paradise.
