December 4, 2020 Private Program “Cut by” Deadline. By this date, property owners must cut their hazardous trees and remove them from their property. In the Town, properties must also be certified clear of trees by this date

Attention Paradise Businesses! Application Period OPEN.
The Butte Business Stabilization Program is now accepting applications! $235,000 has been allocated specifically for businesses located in the Town of Paradise. Apply now through October 5, 2020 for grants up to $25,000. Visit the website for more information or to apply. Both For-Profit businesses and Non-Profit organizations are encouraged to apply.
Hazard Tree Removal Emails Sent This Week. The Town of Paradise will begin sending emails to those unenrolled in a Hazard Tree Removal Program this week. The email outline upcoming deadlines and options for enrollment. For questions, please contact the Tree ROE center at TreeROE@buttecounty.net or call the Tree ROE information line at (530) 552-3030. If you reach voicemail, please leave your information and someone will return your call. Please be patient as representatives are calling each person back and helping them work through their questions.

Government Hazard Tree Removal Update: The Government Hazard Tree Removal Program is currently in the field assessing properties for hazardous trees (see attached flyer for details). The tree felling has not yet begun as CalRecycle works through the contracting process. The Town of Paradise will update property owners on the status of tree felling under Government Program as information becomes available from the State.

Rebuild Paradise Releases Their Next Master Planned Floor Plan. The Flumes floor plan is the newest addition to their Residential Floor Plan library. Master Planned homes have had their plans partially approved through the Town of Paradise building department, saving time and money for those who are rebuilding. Find out more on their website.

Paradise Recreation and Park District Need Your Help! PRPD encompasses the communities of Paradise, Magalia, Concow, Butte Creek Canyon and everywhere in between. They are seeking YOUR creative ideas regarding new park projects and improvements to existing parks. Get those creative juices flowing and visit their website to fill out a survey. Need Help With Weed Abatement or Creating Defensible Space?
FRAP (Fuels Reduction Assistance Program) is a volunteer based program to help property owners protect life and property from the threat of wildfire during fire season by assisting them with defensible space (brush removal, limbing and weed abatement) and some basic tree removal (dead and dying trees in the 100′ defensible space). PGE To Air PSPS Preparation Tips & Information PG&E will be airing a 30 minute TV program this Saturday, September 26, 2020 on KRCR. The show will provide details of its Community Wildfire Safety Program and share ways customers can plan and prepare for Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) events.

The Building Resiliency Center (BRC) Continues to Be Open. The BRC continues to maintain operations during the COVID-19 pandemic to assist those seeking to rebuild. The Center is open by appointment only and masks are required. Appointments for permitting, building questions, inspections, planning and septic are available same day or next day.
