6 Week Dance Class at Paradise Stronger

Interested in becoming a better dancer? Join the 6-week dance class at Paradise Stronger, 6848 Skyway Suite P, Friday nights from 6:30-7:30pm. Learn how to do the Night Club Two Step this Friday, January 5th. For more information and to sign up visit, paradisestronger.org/dance-class.html.

Doom the Broom at Moore Road Ball Park

Join the Butte County Fire Safe Council and the Paradise Recreation and Park District at the Ball Park, 6705 Moore Rd, for removing invasive Scotch Broom and other invasive species to help native plants grow. Come dressed in long sleeves, pants and closed-toe shoes on Saturday, January 6th from 1-4:00 pm. Tools, gloves and snacks will be provided if needed. Register to volunteer for the event here.

January 6th Early Warning Siren Test at 12:00pm (Noon)

The Early Warning Sirens (EWS) will be tested Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 12:00pm.
Residents should expect to hear a voice command stating:

  • “This is a test of the Paradise Early Warning Sirens.”
  • Followed by a 30-second-high low siren.
  • “This is a test of the Paradise Early Warning Sirens.”
  • Followed by the 30 second air raid siren sound.
  • “This is a test of the Paradise Early Warning Sirens.”

Once the last voice command is played, that will conclude the EWS test.

Town Council Meeting

Open to the public, the Paradise Town Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 5555 Skyway. For more information on the Town Council please contact the Town Clerk, Dina Volenski at dvolenski@townofparadise.com.

Paradise Alliance Church Fuels Reduction Assistance Program

Prepare for the upcoming winter weather by taking advantage of the Fuels Reduction Assistance Program (FRAP) which offers free assistance for enhancing your defensible space, removing hazard trees, and managing weed abatement. Don’t miss out on this opportunity—sign up now! Contact Matt Woolley at 877-7069 ext. 235 to learn more, or visit the website for detailed information and to register on the “Registration” tab.

FRAP works to eliminate weeds around homes and properties and address the removal of trees that pose a threat to standing structures. Proudly brought to you by the Paradise Alliance Church, this program operates in collaboration with CAL FIRE and California Climate Investments.

CodeRed- Sign Up/Manage/ Modify/ Unsubscribe

CodeRed is a community notification system in the event of emergency situations or critical community alerts. Examples include evacuation notices, bio-terrorism alerts, boil water notices, and missing child reports.

To sign up, manage an existing account, modify your notification settings and contact information, or to unsubscribe, please visit CodeRed. You may also further customize the types of notifications you receive and add any additional address.

COMMERCIAL SIGN REMOVAL PROGRAM 

Funding is still available for the Commercial Sign Removal Program. This program is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021. Grants will be awarded on a first come first serve basis, until all allocated funds have been expended. Turn in your application to Town Hall or jblancett@townofparadise.com and after an application is approved, the Town will work with the business and licensed contractor to have the sign removed and will pay the contractor directly for the service. For more information and an application, visit bit.ly/3IW9aee
