December Top POP

Don’t miss out on the upcoming ToP POP event– it’s just around the corner! Join the community on Saturday, December 30, from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. for half-price admission, a perfect winter activity to embrace the refreshing Paradise air. Additionally, the Paradise Recreation and Park District will be hosting a “New Year-ish” party from 6-10 p.m.!

The Town of Paradise would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Town Hall and the Building Resiliency Center will be closed Monday, January 1st. Town Hall and the BRC will reopen Tuesday, January 2nd at 8:00am and resume regular business hours the remainder of the week.

PRPD New Year-ish Party

Celebrate the New Year at Terry Ashe Rec Center, 6626 Skyway, on December 30th from 6:00-11:55pm with a live ball drop, music, ice skating, dancing and food and drinks. Ice skating is only $7.00 all day!

New Years Eve Day Community Dance

Ring in the New Year at Veterans Hall Sunday December 31st, 6550 Skyway, from 1:00-4:30pm. Enjoy a complimentary sparkling cider toast at 3:00pm, then dance to the SOUL POSSE band playing a variety of tunes and take advantage of free line dance lessons from 1-2pm. $8 cover includes door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, and refreshments.

Paradise Elks New Years Eve Party

Join the Paradise Elks for a New Year’s Eve Party on December 31st open to the public from 5:00-10:00pm! Enjoy dinner and dance to the live music of Soul Posse. Tickets are $45 per person. Call Jan Keller at 530-519-8993 to secure your ticket.

January 6th Early Warning Siren Test at 12:00pm (Noon)

The Early Warning Sirens (EWS) will be tested Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 12:00pm.
Residents should expect to hear a voice command stating:

  • “This is a test of the Paradise Early Warning Sirens.”
  • Followed by a 30-second-high low siren.
  • “This is a test of the Paradise Early Warning Sirens.”
  • Followed by the 30 second air raid siren sound.
  • “This is a test of the Paradise Early Warning Sirens.”

Once the last voice command is played, that will conclude the EWS test.

Paradise Alliance Church Fuels Reduction Assistance Program

Prepare for the upcoming winter weather by taking advantage of the Fuels Reduction Assistance Program (FRAP), which offers free assistance for enhancing your defensible space, removing hazard trees, and managing weed abatement. FRAP works to eliminate weeds around homes and properties and address the removal of trees that pose a threat to standing structures. Proudly brought to you by the Paradise Alliance Church, this program operates in collaboration with Cal Fire and California Climate Investments.

CodeRed is a community notification system in the event of emergency situations or critical community alerts. Examples include evacuation notices, bio-terrorism alerts, boil water notices, and missing child reports.

Funding is still available for the Commercial Sign Removal Program. This program is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021. Grants will be awarded on a first come first serve basis, until all allocated funds have been expended. Turn in your application to Town Hall or and after an application is approved, the Town will work with the business and licensed contractor to have the sign removed and will pay the contractor directly for the service. For more information and an application, visit
